Purpose
 

The purpose of this position is to reconcile and process customer payments in a timely and accurate manner and to prepare the daily deposits of receipts.
  

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Receive, prepare checks for deposits

  • Process application of checks, EFT, ACH and credit card payments ensuring that cash receipts are applied properly to paid customer invoices

  • Communicate and resolve customer payment differences to amounts invoiced.

  • Reconcile and process credit card payments for credit and pro departments

  • Process all cash application adjustments including approved write-offs

  • Apply credit or debits notes as requested by the credit analysts

  • Prepare daily cash application reconciliation sheets

  • Receive credit cards payments for miscellaneous, employee and staff employee accounts and release compliant orders.

  • Reconcile employee, staff employee and misc. accounts and process related claims when warranted

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

  • May support internal and external audits by providing document research

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • College degree in the field accounting;
  • At least 3-year experience in the field of accounting;
  • Able to work autonomously;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good capacity of analysis, synthesis and problem solving;
  • Sense of initiative, teamwork and excellent judgment;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Intermediate to expert level in Excel and Word;
  • Knowledge of Data base ERP systems.
