PURPOSE

 

Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, the Trade Marketing Specialist will develop & execute the North American retail footprint strategy to increase store sales and brand presence with independent retailers. His/her objective is to develop and implement initiatives for the CCM brand to win at retail that are tied in with key business objectives. He/she must provide industry leading marketing support to make CCM the preferred supplier for independent retailers. He/she is responsible for developing tailored marketing plans for independent retailers to maximize co-op dollars, brand visibility and product sell thru.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Develop & execute retail footprint strategies for North American independent accounts, with a focus on top 10 independent retailers in Canada and US.

  • Collaborate with independent retailers and provide industry leading service for marketing requests including POP roll out, graphics, sales incentives, staff contests and staff education.

  • Collaborate with sales team to create account plans that drive growth, with a focus on increasing consumer demand and product sell thru.

  • Maximize use of co-op dollars to stimulate sales and build brand. Validate sales metrics per account and align with sales to achieve budget. Track co-op spend for each retailer and measure ROI following each initiative.

  • Responsible for on-time delivery and quality of all retail footprint material to independent accounts (POP, graphics, shopping aides).

  • Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing for in-store materials.

  • Work with independent retailers to provide digital marketing support for social media and e-commerce platforms, including web banners, product descriptions, video content and imagery.

  • Develop and implement all marketing initiatives destined to increase retail staff support of CCM products and programs. Manage Employee Purchase Program and staff incentives.

  • Support FaST team by providing them with marketing support tools. Collaborate to maximize in-field product education with independent retailers.

  • Maintain and update the dealer Web portal to ensure all relevant content is readily available for retailers.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in trade marketing is an asset;

  • Excellent understanding of the retail merchandising planning & implementation process;

  • Knowledge of the retail environment as it pertains to in-store branding, e-commerce and P.O.P;

  • Strong Excel, Email, Word and Power Point skills;

  • Outstanding organizational skills;

  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced collaborative environment;

  • People oriented, excellent communicator with demonstrated project management skills;

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French;
